dataset ⌗ Design Doctorates undertaken in Portugal 2001-2019

Database aggregates information on doctoral PhDs undertaken in Portugal, from 2001 to 2019. Data was collected based on the information available in the National Register of Doctoral Thesis Themes (RENATES) in Design courses, area(s) of Arts and Communication Sciences. There are a total of 249 PhD Theses, with information on the author’s name, school, work title, (co)advisor(s), keywords, funding sources (when mentioned), thesis repository URL (if any ) and the design area addressed (subjective qualification). National project that looks at design as a factor of innovation as well as cultural and socioeconomic development. The project collects and interprets data from the Portuguese Design ecosystem to promote its knowledge and to influence public policies.
