IPPortalegre visita

We started field activities with design schools in the Portuguese territory

  • 06.03.2020
We started fieldwork in the Portuguese territory! Destination: the Polytechnique Institute of Portalegre. Our host, professor Vera Barradas, invited us to talk about the DesignOBS mission, objectives and main results achieve this far.

We had the opportunity to discuss with students from the “Design of Digital Identity” master course about the importance of conveying clearer contributions to the discipline in research activities and adopting more structured design-oriented terms and keywords. Students showed additional curiosity about the link between design research and internships. More questions emerged regarding the type of companies where they could undertake their (research) projects and collecting lessons learned from previous experiences with other students.
This field trip was very rich, providing additional insights about the experiences and expectations of students on a project such as the DesignOBS.
We are looking forward to continue this work.
