Master students from the design course at Aveiro University participating in the "Representation of Knowledge" course were challenged to work with the "design companies in Portugal" database, for one semester. Their objectives were to create representations and metaphors; and convey carefully thought messages about the sector. The course resulted in five posters, presented in late February 2021.

A terceira REDE, Reunião de Escolas de Design, irá decorrer no próximo dia 3 de Dezembro, na Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa. Pretendemos com esta reunião dar a voz aos professores que ativamente têm contribuído para uma reflexão sobre o ensino do design em Portugal.
Para tal, contamos com a colaboração de sete oradores convidados, que compõem um painel representativo de várias escolas de design de áreas geográficas e subsistemas de ensino diferentes.

We published the first curated dataset covering a specific vector of the design ecosystem model proposed by Ana Whicher: design reseach, more specifically, doctoral research.

The event REDE#02 National Design Schools meetings occurred on October 31st 2020 at the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado e do Ave, Barcelos, Portugal. In total, 26 design schools and 49 participants contributed to develop and discuss multiple topics related with design education and models of collaboration with companies.

We started fieldwork in the Portuguese territory! Destination: the Polytechnique Institute of Portalegre. Our host, professor Vera Barradas, invited us to talk about the DesignOBS mission, objectives and main results achieve this far.
